Specialist support for those living with coeliac disease

You don't have to manage this on your own.

Living with coeliac disease can affect far more than food. I offer psychological support for adults, young people, and families navigating the emotional, social, and everyday impact of living gluten free.

My work is covered by appropriate professional indemnity insurance, and I only offer support within the limits of my training, experience, and supervision. Sessions are confidential, with the usual exceptions where there may be a risk of harm to you or someone else, or where disclosure is required by law. If I feel another service or professional would be more appropriate, I will be honest about this and do my best to signpost you.

FAQs

What happens at the first appointment?

You and Rosie will meet together to explore what has led you to seek therapy at this time. This first session gives Rosie the opportunity to understand more about you, your experiences, and the coeliac disease challenges you may be facing. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have and to find out more about how you could work together.

How many sessions do you offer?

Rosie does not work to a fixed time-frame and will work with you in a way that best suits your individual circumstances. Some people may attend therapy for around six sessions, while others may choose to continue for a year or longer. There is no right or wrong length of time, and you can regularly review your progress together with Rosie throughout the process.

How much does a 1:1 session cost?

Sessions with Rosie are £65 for a 50-minute appointment. Payment is usually required before the session takes place. If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, Rosie asks for at least 48 hours’ notice where possible. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may still be charged in full.

Where do 1:1 sessions take place?

Sessions with Rosie take place online via a secure platform (Microsoft Teams) or via phone if preferred. Each session will last 50 minutes.

What if I need urgent or emergency advice?

For any non-urgent matters, you can contact Rosie by email and she will aim to respond within 2 working days. Please be aware that Rosie does not offer a crisis or emergency support service.

If you require urgent mental health support, please contact your GP’s out-of-hours service or local NHS crisis team. In an emergency, please call 999 or 111, or attend your nearest A&E department.
